Listening to Disabled People

Kent Library Services listen to people with learning disabilities

We are working with the Kent wide library service on a consultation with people who have learning disabilities.

The library service wants to know how they can tell people about the things they do and the services people can access.

There will be a meeting on 26th July where people with learning disabilities living in Sevenoaks can share their ideas.

Swanley library and the newly refurbished Sevenoaks library (when it re-opens) will both stock books on person centred planning and lots of other things. We have agreed with them that we will work together and pay for all the new books and materials jointly.

People living in other parts of Kent will be able to borrow these books as well. They can ask their library if they are available for loan and they will be sent to their local library for collection. For more information contact Simon at Values Inc.
